74th Annual Golden Globe Awards 2017

The 74th Golden Globe Awards, one of the most prestigious Hollywood honours, were presented in different categories in a spectacular and star-studded award ceremony on January 8, 2017 at Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. Romantic musical hit La La Land dominated the 74th Golden Globe awards this year by sweeping all seven awards for which it was nominated, including the top honour of the Best Film (Musical/Comedy). Damien Chazelle won the Golden Globe of Best Director for La La Land. Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone were awarded the Best Actor and Actress honours respectively again for La La Land in Musical/Comedy category.

Moonlight was adjudged the Best Film in drama category. Isabelle Huppert won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in drama category for her role Elle. Casey Affleck won the best actor award in drama for his role in the Manchester by the Sea. Elle was also adjudged the Best Foreign Language film. Veteran American Actress Meryl Streep won the Cecil B. DeMille Life-time Achievement Award at the Golden Globe this year of her immense contribution to cinema.
