  1. World Health Day 2014 was observed across the world on 7 April 2014. The day provides an opportunity for individuals to get involved in activities that can lead to better health. The theme for World Health Day 2014 is vector-borne diseases. World Health Organisation (WHO) is highlighting the serious and increasing threat of vector-borne diseases with the slogan Small bite, big threat. WHO want to create awareness about the vector spread diseases which include malaria, dengue, leishmaniasis and yellow fever. The Campaign aims to raise awareness about the threat posed by vectors and vector-borne diseases. First World Health Day was celebrated on 7th April 1950 and marks the anniversary of the WHO in 1948. In 2013, the theme of the World Health Day was Control your blood pressure.
